About Us

Game Day Legends, founded in the year 2000 by recently retired Downey Fire Captain Erich Ekstedt, is a family-run business built on integrity, passion, and legendary sports collectibles. Captain Ekstedt served 23 years with the Downey Fire Department, including 12 years as a firefighter-paramedic before becoming a Captain, where in his last couple years, he also led the EMS paramedic program and Tactical EMS team, retiring in November 2023. Today, he continues to own and lead Game Day Legends full time.
