At Game Day Legends, our mission is to honor the passion of sports by delivering memorabilia that is Always Authentic. Always Legendary. We connect fans, collectors and investors with the athletes, moments and stories that define sports history.

About Us

Game Day Legends, founded in 2000 by Erich Ekstedt, has grown into an established name in authentic sports memorabilia, live commerce, athlete signings and collectibles—built on integrity, passion and a commitment to delivering authentic, legendary experiences for collectors.

Erich built and led Game Day Legends throughout his 23-year career with the Downey Fire Department, including 12 years as a firefighter-paramedic before becoming a Fire Captain. During the latter part of his career, he also led the department's EMS paramedic program and Tactical EMS team. After retiring from the fire service in November 2023, he began working from Game Day Legends full time while continuing to lead the company as its Founder and CEO.

Over more than 25 years in the industry, Game Day Legends has built longstanding relationships with many of the most recognized names across sports and memorabilia—including Fanatics, Upper Deck and Panini—along with leading professional athletes, authentication partners and other major industry organizations.

Game Day Legends also has a significant and growing presence in live commerce, reaching collectors through eBay Live, Fanatics Live, Whatnot and TikTok Live.

What began with Erich's passion for sports and authentic memorabilia has evolved into a multi-channel collectibles business serving customers through e-commerce, live commerce, athlete signings, exclusive releases, events and an expanding lineup of proprietary products.

We specialize in authentic, certified autographed memorabilia, game-used collectibles, rare pieces and limited-edition releases, with authenticity and customer trust at the center of everything we do.

Our goal goes beyond selling memorabilia. We want to connect collectors with the athletes, stories and unforgettable moments behind every piece—whether it's a centerpiece for a lifelong collection, a meaningful gift, an investment-quality collectible or the excitement of a legendary pull during one of our live shows.

Trade-In Program

Collections evolve, and Game Day Legends makes it easier to evolve with them.

Through our Trade-In Program, collectors can submit eligible memorabilia they are ready to move on from and receive Game Day Legends store credit toward something new. It's another way we're helping collectors continue building collections they love.
