Coming off a season in which they won the Presidents Trophy (most points) for the first time in franchise history, the 2018-19 Nashville Predators came in with heavy expectations. And they didn’t disappoint, winning the Central Division for the second consecutive year with an overall record of 47-29-6. They came up short in the playoffs, but it was ultimately another successful building block toward bringing the Southern city an NHL championship. Talented right wing Eeli Tolvanen skated in four early-season games with the Predators, including a home game against the Blackhawks that saw Tolvanen score his first career NHL goal. It came in the first period of a 5-2 Predators win. He also assisted on a Craig Smith goal later in the period. The flashy Finnish forward is a huge part of Nashville’s future.
