Peter Forsberg was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers as the 6th overall pick in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. Traded to the Nordiques in the now famous Eric Lindros trade Forsberg wasted no time making an impact in the NHL. Forsberg's first season in the NHL was his only season as a Nordique, he would post 50 points in the lockout shortened season and win the Calder Memorial Trophy. The following season he would score a career best 116 points in the franchise's first season in Colorado in helping the Avalanche win their first Stanley Cup. Having already won World Championship Gold and Olympic Gold with Sweden in 1992 and 1994, respectively, Forsberg's Stanley Cup title in 1996 made him the youngest member of the Triple Crown Club (winning a World Championship, an Olympic Gold Medal, and a Stanley Cup) and he became the fastest player to do so. Forsberg retired in 2011 with 885 career points. This authentic red Mitchell & Ness Colorado Avalanche jersey is autographed and inscribed "885 CAREER POINTS" by Peter Forsberg. Forsberg's signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA's 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 85. You will receive a random number from the edition.
