After being drafted second overall in the 1990 draft, Gary Payton went on to play 13 seasons with the Seattle Sonics. In 999 games for the Sonics, Payton averaged 18.2 points, 7.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game. In 1996, Payton led the Sonics to the NBA Playoffs after posting a regular season record of 64-18. The Sonics breezed through the first two rounds defeating the Kings 3-1 and Rockets 4-0. In the Western Conference Finals, the Jazz took Seattle to a game seven, but Payton and the Sonics defeated them to make it to the NBA Finals. They faced off against the Bulls and ultimately lost the series 4-2. Payton's nickname "The Glove" was given to him after the 1993 Western Conference Championship when he was guarding Kevin Johnson like a glove.   This Seattle Supersonics green Swingman jersey is autographed and inscribed "The Glove" by Gary Payton with a black paint pen. Payton's signature and inscription were witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA's 5-step authentication process. This item is limited to 25. You will receive a random number from the edition.
