Tiger Woods began his college career at Stanford in the fall of 1994. Woods was named Pac-10 Player of the Year, NCAA First Team All-American, and Stanford Male Freshman of the Year during his tenure at Stanford. In 1996, Woods won the NCAA individual title and was awarded Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year. With 11 tournaments, Woods tied Stanford's record, including an incredible 8 wins in 13 starts in 1996. In 2009 Stanford inducted the golf legend into the Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame. Despite his early departure, he continues to support the Stanford Cardinals by attending football games and contributing a portion of his tournament proceeds to Stanford University.
