Born in Lebanon, Steve Kerr spent his whole life playing sports, his biggest interest being basketball. It may come as a surprise to many who don't know Kerr's background but Kerr was not heavily recruited in high school. Kerr would ultimately attend the University of Arizona and from there his basketball career would take off. In Kerr's final season with the Wildcats he would help Arizona reach the Final Four of the 1988 NCAA Tournament and set an NCAA single-season record for three-point percentage (57.3%) in 1987-1988. It was more of the same for Kerr in the NBA; in his more than three seasons with the Cavaliers (from 1989-1992) Kerr would set the team's franchise single-season (.507) and career three-point field percentage (.472) records. Kerr would join the Bulls for the 1993 season and would play five seasons with Chicago where he would set the Bulls' franchise single-season (.524) and career three-point field goal percentage (.479) records there as well.
