Coming off the record-breaking effort the season before in which they went 72-10 in the regular season and captured their fourth NBA Finals championship, the Chicago Bulls set out to continue to make history in the 1996-97 campaign. They were one 3-pointer at the buzzer away from becoming the first team in NBA history to have back-to-back 70-win seasons as they finished with an amazing 69-13 mark. They cruised through the playoffs again and met the Utah Jazz in the Finals. The Bulls took back-to-back losses in the first two games at the Delta Center in Utah as the series was evened at two games apiece. That?s when Jordan had one of the most memorable games in his legendary career, the famous ?Flu Game? in Game 5 in which he could barely get out of bed before the game and then went on to score 38 points with seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block in a 90-88 win. The Bulls would go on to win Game 6 and their fifth championship.
