It was a monumental task for director Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig to follow the wildly successful and award winning “Skyfall” with another epic James Bond thriller, but they did exactly that with the 2015 release of “Spectre.” The enemy in this film wasn’t just an individual as Bond instead battled an entire criminal organization named SPECTRE. In the 24th film in the Bond series – and fourth featuring Craig in the famous role of the fictional MI6 agent – the hero is defiant in this one. He carries out an unauthorized mission and is eventually suspended from field duty. Bond disobeys orders more than once in this adventure, and audiences responded with a newfound appreciation for the rogue Bond.
