Collin Morikawa had another impressive year on the PGA Tour in the 2023 season. At the Sentry Tournament of Champions he finished in second place, two strokes behind winner Jon Rahm. A month later he finished in third place at the Farmers Insurance Open and was only three shots behind winner Max Homa. In July at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Morikawa came up very close to another victory. He went into a playoff against Rickie Fowler and ultimately lost to him to finish in second place. In October, Morikawa was determined to win at the Zozo Championship. He dominated the competition and was able to win his first Zozo Championship title.
