Collin Morikawa's first year as a professional golfer in 2020 was sure a memorable one. After the PGA was shut down for three months due to COVID, Morikawa and golfers participated in the Charles Schwab Challenge as the first tournament back from the pandemic. Morikawa came out of the gates hungry for a victory as he found himself tied for first at the end of the tournament. He went to a playoff against Daniel Berger where he eventually lost. That same year Morikawa went on to win the Workday Charity Open and PGA Championship. His PGA Championship was insanely impressive as it was only his second start in a Major Championship.
